In October 2025 I had the pleasure of working with, and buying a filly from Mr. and Mrs.Parenteau. While she had been untouched. Both Heather and Marvin had helped through every step of the way from getting the first touch, getting her halter broke, and bulging that connection between her, now named Lassie, and I. Heather and Marvin are patient people, filled with years and years of knowledge. They have a keen eye for the horses emotions, and are always happy to talk to you about it. They get their work done with determination and safety, for both people and the horse. Mr. And Mrs.Parenteau take obvious pride and joy in what they do with their horses and it shows with how loved, cared, and safe they feel. They are a true joy to work with. The fun work days were filled with old stories and jokes, knowledge that has you looking at the horses different, and you truly leave their place with a smile on your face every time.

Heather and Marvin are absolutely the kindest and most patient people with a love of sharing knowledge. They provide a loving atmosphere and are like an extra set of grandparents! I always feel welcome and enjoy learning with them about working with horses. They treat every animal with kindness and respect, all while keeping everyone as safe as possible. Their love for their animals is evident in how they take their time with them and how they believe in making everything a positive experience for the horses. Even when situations are exciting like handling untouched youngsters, they both have a calm and collected attitude towards them and talk the animal through it all while explaining to you what they are doing and how they are going to do it.
