30-Day Horse Buy-Back Policy

At Diamond P Bar Ranch, we are committed to placing our horses in suitable homes and supporting successful horse-owner partnerships. To provide buyers with confidence in their purchase, we offer the following 30-Day Buy-Back Policy.

Eligibility

This policy applies to horses purchased directly from Diamond P Bar Ranch and is valid for 30 calendar days from the date of purchase.

Buy-Back Option

If, within 30 days of purchase, the buyer determines that the horse is not a suitable match, Diamond P Bar Ranch may repurchase the horse under the following conditions:

The horse must be returned within 30 calendar days of the original purchase date.
The horse must be the same horse sold by Diamond P Bar Ranch and must be returned with all registration papers, transfer documents, and any equipment included in the original sale.
The horse must be in substantially the same physical condition as at the time of sale, ordinary wear and tear excepted.
The horse must not have suffered any injury, illness, neglect, abuse, or significant change in training or condition while in the buyer's care.

Veterinary Examination

Diamond P Bar Ranch reserves the right to require a veterinary examination prior to accepting the return of the horse. Any fees associated with the veterinary examination will be at the buyer’s expense.

If the horse has sustained injury, developed a significant medical condition, or experienced a decline in condition while in the buyer's care, Diamond P Bar Ranch may:

Decline the buy-back request; or
Offer a reduced buy-back amount based on veterinary findings and associated costs.

Buy-Back Amount

Upon approval of the return, Diamond P Bar Ranch will repurchase the horse for:

80% of the original purchase price

The remaining 20% is retained to cover administrative costs, training time, transportation coordination, marketing expenses, and the risks associated with rehoming the horse.

Any transportation costs, veterinary expenses, boarding fees, or other costs incurred by the buyer are non-refundable.

Transportation

The buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for transportation of the horse back to Diamond P Bar Ranch unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The horse remains the responsibility of the buyer until safely delivered and accepted by Diamond P Bar Ranch.

Exclusions

This policy does not apply if:

The horse has been sold, leased, transferred, or otherwise disposed of to a third party.
The horse has been bred after purchase.
The horse has suffered injury, neglect, abuse, or significant deterioration while in the buyer's care.
The buyer fails to comply with the terms of this policy.

No Refund Policy

Except as expressly provided in this Buy-Back Policy, all horse sales are final. Diamond P Bar Ranch does not guarantee future performance, suitability for a specific discipline, or compatibility with a particular rider beyond representations made at the time of sale.

Right of First Refusal

After the 30-day buy-back period has expired, if the buyer wishes to sell or rehome the horse, Diamond P Bar Ranch requests the first opportunity to repurchase or assist in rehoming the horse before it is offered for sale elsewhere.

Acceptance

By purchasing a horse from Diamond P Bar Ranch, the buyer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this 30-Day Buy-Back Policy.
