Stud Service Fee Policy
Thank you for your interest in breeding one of our stallions. To ensure a successful breeding program and protect the health and welfare of all horses involved, the following Stud Fee Policy applies to all breeding services provided by Diamond P Bar Ranch.Â

Our stud fees are $650.00 CDN.
Â
Booking and Payment
Â

A completed breeding contract and payment of the applicable booking fee are required to reserve a breeding.

The stud fee must be paid in full prior to breeding unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

All fees are quoted in Canadian dollars and are subject to applicable taxes.

Stud fees are non-refundable except as specifically provided in this policy.
Mare Requirements

Prior to arrival, mare owners must provide:

Proof of current vaccinations.

Proof of current deworming program.
-
Negative Coggins test if required by applicable regulations.

Any reproductive health records requested by Diamond P Bar Ranch.
Â
Diamond P Bar Ranch reserves the right to refuse any mare that appears unhealthy, dangerous, or unsuitable for breeding.
Mare Care and Boarding

Veterinary services, farrier services, medications, and are separate from the stud fee unless otherwise specified.

Diamond P Bar Ranch is responsible for all boarding expenses (feed, water, salt blocks) incurred during the mare's stay.

Payment of all outstanding charges are required before the mare is released.
Live Cover and Breeding Management

All breeding activities will be conducted under the supervision of Diamond P Bar Ranch personnel.

The ranch reserves the right to determine the safest breeding method and schedule.

No guarantees are made regarding the number of breedings required for conception.
Â
Pregnancy and Live Foal Guarantee

If offered by Diamond P Bar Ranch, any live foal guarantee will be governed by the terms outlined in the individual breeding contract.
Â
For the purposes of this policy, a "live foal" is defined as a foal that stands and nurses unassisted within 24 hours of birth.
Â
Any rebreeding privileges, if applicable, must be requested in writing and supported by veterinary documentation.

Stallion Availability
​
Diamond P Bar Ranch reserves the right to substitute breeding dates, suspend breeding services, or cancel breeding contracts in the event of:

Illness, injury, or death of the stallion.

Fertility concerns.

Veterinary recommendations.
-
Force majeure events beyond the ranch's control.

In such cases, available remedies may include rescheduling, a future breeding credit, or a refund at the sole discretion of Diamond P Bar Ranch.

Limitation of Liability

While every reasonable precaution will be taken, horse breeding involves inherent risks.
Â
Diamond P Bar Ranch shall not be liable for:

Injury, illness, disease, infertility, or death of any mare, foal, or stallion.

Veterinary expenses incurred by the mare owner.
-
Loss of use, lost profits, or consequential damages.
-
Failure of conception.
Â
Mare owners assume all risks associated with transporting, boarding, handling, and breeding their horses.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 30 days before the scheduled breeding date may receive a refund of any stud fees paid, less the initial booking fee and a $25 administrative fee.

Cancellations within 30 days of the scheduled breeding date will forfeit all stud fees paid.

If the mare owner elects not to proceed after breeding services have commenced, all fees paid are non-refundable.

Collection and Shipment (If Applicable)

Diamond P Bar Ranch does not offer this service.

Acceptance of Terms
​
By entering into a breeding contract with Diamond P Bar Ranch, the mare owner acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Stud Fee Policy.
